CHAPTER XX: THE DETAILS

Bobby started to share when the door opened and Ann rushed in.

"Hey, thanks for coming. Mister Fowler here is about to share some stuff about the murder today. Thought you might want to be in on it."

"Damn right," she replied as she pulled up a chair and sat.

It didn't take long as Bobby didn't really know all that much...but what he did know helped.

Greg signaled to Ann to head to the hall, and she nodded.

"Bobby, I have to talk to my friend here. Be right back. Bobby nodded almost abstractedly and Greg led Ann out to the hall.

"We got a live one here and I have no doubt he is telling the truth."

Ann nodded in the affirmative.

"But what he knows isn't enough. We gotta have more."

Again, Ann nodded.

"Whatcha think about getting him wired."

"Greg I like the idea, but this is just a young kid and scared to boot. We can't put anyone with him either I wouldn't think."

Greg nodded...and then a pause set in.

"Hey, I got an idea."

Ann looked at him.

"Luke has a new recruit. Nice kid. REALLY young looking. Just out of school. Maybe we could pair him up with Bobby?

"Uh...I don't know. Worth a try maybe?"

"If we can get Bobby's brother and hopefully his friend talking and hopefully confess, we got them dead to rights. Let me go talk to Luke and see what he thinks. If Kalamazoo will let us borrow Randy, that's the kid's name, then we got a shot. If it gets squirrelly, we pull both of them."

"We gotta monitor it constantly."

"Agreed. As luck would have it, Luke is here...down in my office. Let me go sound him out," and Ann nodded sending Greg down the hall.

"Honey, got an idea...and a question."
